Farwell Farmer’s Market – Wernette Farms have been growing and selling vegetables for the past thirty years. The Wernette’s started selling a few of their extra vegetables and fruit from one garden at a small table on their back porch. Over the years, their one garden has grown to nine gardens. Some of their home grown vegetables that they offer are green beans, sweet corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, red potatoes, squash, pumpkins, broccoli, peppers and onions.
The Wernette’s are at the Art and Craft Farmers Market in Farwell every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm located on the corner of South Hall and Illinois. This year they will also be at the Farwell Village Park on Main Street on Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm. They take pride in their high quality fresh produce.
